Update on annoucements: Over the past week there have been various announcements about the possibilities of churches reopening. This is of course great news however, the important words in all the government and church guidance are FROM and MAY. This means we have much to consider and put in place to ensure the ongoing safety of all those who come to church, and the clergy in their wider duties.  As I mentioned in last Sunday's email, I have started discussions with the Ministry Team and Churchwardens and it is fair to say it remains 'work in progress'. As soon as we are able to we will communicate with you what our plans are, which are likely to be stages of reopening. We therefore ask for your prayers and your patience.
As we seek to plan for the opening of our churches, one of the dependencies is to have a sufficient supply of hand sanitizer. As a registered charity you could help us secure this through a scheme that local business Wharf Distillery is currently running - for every £10 donated you can purchase for us 1 litre of hand sanitizer and the wharf will then match your donation with another 1 litre of hand sanitizer. Donations of any amount can be made via this link:

Please quote Tove Benefice in the notes section to ensure we benefit from your donation.
Any extra sanitizer received surplus to our requirements will be donated to other local charities.

Next Thursday is Ascension Day, this marks the start of the build up to Pentecost. In recent years this period of time, sometimes referred as Novena, has been a call for Christians to come together from across the denominations in prayer.  Churches Together in Towcester are putting together some opportunities for people to join us from there homes in prayer. The global initiative is called Thy Kingdom Come and next week you will receive an additional mailing with ideas and resources for how you can join in.
