Renew CaféThe numbers of visitors has increased in recent weeks and the café would like to extend their services to the community of Towcester and the villages in various ways including an evening Men’s space, a Saturday Dad’s group, and bringing in isolated people from the surrounding villages amongst other plans.

St Bartholomew’s Christmas Tree Festival
Christmas Tree FrestivalA new venture.
Saturday 7th December. from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm at Greens Norton.
All in the benefice are invited to take part – individuals and groups.  
Trees are to be decorated with the theme of Christmas carols and songs.  
Trees to be no bigger than 4ft: real, artificial or crafted from recycled items.  
Battery lights may be used.  
A Remembrance tree will be available.  
Raffle, cakes, cookies and beverages raising funds for Macmillan nurses and St Bartholomew’s Fabric Fund.  
The Sunday service following is to follow this theme.

Shoebox Appeal
Shoebox AppealA big thank you to everyone who supported the Shoebox appeal this year. 
The service at Greens Norton was very well supported, with pupils from Greens Norton School taking part. 
93 shoeboxes were collected on Tuesday 19th November.

Christmas Day Meal in the Chantry  
Christmas Day Meal in the Chantry  If you are going to be on you own on Christmas Day, or know someone who is, there is a free Christmas Day meal in the Chantry
Sign-up sheets are in the office or at the back of the Church. 
Lifts to the meal are available.  
Food Donations for the Christmas meal would be welcomed. 
The sheets for the food required are found at the back of the Church. 
Please help us put on this feast.

Any help appreciated.  
Also we have to move some things from the Children’s Corner to enable the new carpet to be laid.

Urgent request from Foodbank They are in desperate need of tins of Meat and Fish. 
Please support them.  
It is a very buy time for the Foodbank so any donations both “normal” and Christmas would be gratefully received.

Fund Raising
Do you or your husband / partner or a relative work for a company that offers £ for £ matched funding?
100% of every parish church costs (i.e. day to day running expenses, clergy & paid staff costs, repairs of buildings, etc.) has to be fund from regular giving and fundraising. 
If you have connections with a company who do offer matched funding would you be willing to help run an event that would help your parish Church?

Greens Norton Community Choir are singing at a concert in St Bartholomew’s on Friday 13th December at 7.30 pm
Greens Norton Community Choir The Concert in aid of Church funds. 
Entry is free but donations welcome.  
Mulled wine & mince pies being served after the concert. 
Listen to lots of well known carols, new arrangements & some audience participation. 
Please come & support this concert to raise funds for Greens Norton Church. 
Don’t forget Carols by Candlelight in St Bartholomew’s church on Sunday 15th December at 6.00 pm.

During the winter months Evening Payer has been moved to 4.00 pm not 5.00 pm.
